Before You Buy Your Praying Mantis
Return Policy/Live Arrival Guarantee
We do not offer returns or refunds. Live arrival guarantee is only offered with the $45 USPS Express delivery option. If for any reason your mantis does not arrive alive, and you selected USPS Express delivery, you must contact us by email with photos and/or video proof of your mantis within two hours of the USPS delivery timestamp according to the tracking number. Your mantis will be replaced with the same species or if your species is not available anymore, another species of equal or lesser value. Replacements are free, but shipping cost is the responsibly of the buyer. This means if your mantis arrives DOA via Express delivery and you provide adequate proof, we will absolutely replace the mantis/similar mantis for free, but you will have to cover the shipping cost of the replacement. It is your responsibility to track your package often and be available to receive your package upon delivery.
IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER AFTER COMPLETING PAYMENT- PLEASE READ:
We charge a $10 fee for ALL cancelled orders. No exceptions. All of our orders go through a third party processing platform and they charge us a non-refundable processing fee for every order, EVEN when we cancel the order for you. We can not take the hit for these fees, and essentially pay for a cancelled order. So please be absolutely sure you are ready to make your purchase and are aware of this policy BEFORE you check out and complete payment. Again, if you change your mind and want to cancel your order for any reason, be aware that you will be charged a $10 fee for this. This means yes your order will be refunded, but LESS $10.
SHIPPING POLICIES
We ship mantids on Mondays ONLY. All orders placed up until 12pm PST Saturday will normally be shipped on Monday unless there is an issue with your order. If you place an order after 12pm PST on Saturday, your mantis will be shipped the next Monday of the following week.

Temps:
We will only ship mantids to destinations with daytime temperatures between 50-90 degrees. This means that if your destination is below 50 degrees during the day, we will not ship. If your destination is above 90 degrees during the day, we will not ship. Please be aware of your weather and temps for the week your mantis will ship. If you place an order and we deem your local temps are too high or too low, we will hold your mantis until the temps in your area fall between 50-90 degrees. Mantis Universe reserves the right to hold your mantis until temps fall within this range. It is your responsibility to check your local temps the week your mantis will be delivered.
